Open AIGA Seattle Board Positions

Writing Director

In addition to standard board responsibilities and privileges, the writing director is responsible for the writing, gathering and editing of all written material for a quarterly newsletter and the website.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate editorial calendar to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work with chapter contacts and volunteers to write and edit quarterly e-newsletter
  • Proof event collateral, newsletters, website and major correspondence as needed
  • Assist in gathering follow-up information from event chairs and work closely with the archivist to make sure that there is a written history of all events
  • Organize and lead a committee to assist with duties and responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the mission and goals of the AIGA
  • Prior writing and/or editing experience
  • Willingness and ability to follow through on commitments within the time frame allotted
