Open AIGA Seattle Board Positions

Website Director

In addition to standard board responsibilities and privileges, the website director's main responsibility is to facilitate communication between the board and the AIGA membership through electronic media (e.g. Internet and e-mail).

Specific duties include:

  • Maintain www.aigaseattle.org including management of the monthly calendar and events page updates
  • Update national website calendar and events pages as well as Seattle Chapter pages on national website [http://www.aiga.org]
  • Manage blast email system and html based correspondences
  • Work with Writing Director to coordinate the HTML newsletter
  • Work closely with the national office in regards to hosting and email blasts
  • Maintain seattleaiga.org email system
  • Support individual board members and event directors in regards of electronic publishing
  • Consult the chapter on electronic media and procurement issues
  • Organize and lead a committee to assist with duties and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of the mission and goals of the AIGA
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web image formats
  • Basic knowledge of Flash and QuickTime posting
  • Understanding of email systems and html based emailing
  • Willingness and ability to follow through on commitments within the time frame allotted
