Open AIGA Seattle Board Positions

Sponsorship Director

In addition to standard board responsibilities and privileges, the sponsorship director is responsible for identifying, contacting, and soliciting potential cash and in-kind donors for AIGA Seattle events and programs.

Specific duties include:

  • Oversee all sponsorship transactions to insure receipt of related benefits
  • Determine sponsor benefits on an individual or group case
  • Create and implement an annual sponsorship opportunity packet including information on upcoming chapter events and activities for the calendar year
  • Compile and maintain a current list of potential in-kind and cash sponsors
  • Identify in-kind paper and printing donations for events and programs
  • Identify cash sponsors for events and programs
  • Work with programming director to understand collateral and sponsorship needs for each event (Event descriptions and details, however, are the responsibility of the Event Coordinator, who should contact the Sponsorship Director no later than three months prior to her or his event)
  • Report to AIGA Seattle board on sponsorship success or progress
  • Maintain an organized and efficient system of tracking and recording all sponsorship activities on an annual basis
  • Ensure sponsors and donations are acknowledged in e-newsletter, at events, on website and/or via thank-you etc.
  • Organize annual Sponsor Breakfast each to take place each September
  • Broaden the chapter's sponsor base by developing new relationships within the local and regional business communities
  • Assist board in developing financial goals for the chapter
  • Ensure a complete set of files is delivered to the next sponsorship director
  • Organize and lead a committee to assist with duties and responsibilities

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the mission and goals of the AIGA
  • Knowledge of and contacts with local area service providers and vendors
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Willingness to lead by example and with enthusiasm
  • Willingness and ability to follow through on commitments within the time frame allotted
