Professional illustrators, art directors and graphic designers assess the relationship between illustration and graphic design as new image-making techniques and technologies appear. AIGA Illustration believes the role of the illustrator is as essential as ever to effective communication design and is committed to inspiring young illustrators and exploring with designers and art directors the power of original illustration in design.

Specific responsibilities include:
