About AIGA / The Seattle Chapter Board

Corbet Curfman
Illustration Director

In 2008, Corbet Curfman launched his own design company Riverbed LLC. His interest lies in partnering with companies and organizations that work with environmental and social causes on a local, national and global level. He is also excited to contribute back to the design community and expand his involvement with AIGA as a board member. Being the Illustration Director enables Corbet to don both of his hats as designer and illustrator. He wants to continue Mark Kaufman's great work in the role before him and further explore AIGA's inspiration and support for design and illustration

Corbet Curfman earned a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1996 and has been working to give back to the community ever since. During his years at MarketFitz 1999-2008, he worked for a variety of industries and companies, but found his interests lay closer to working with non-profits organizations. These projects included but not limited to brand development, design and strategy for Seafair, Virginia Mason, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Theatre Puget Sound as well as event marketing, design and illustration for Northwest Folklife, Benaroya Research Institute, Seattle Children's Theatre, Pacific Science Center, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
