About AIGA / The Seattle Chapter Board

Laura Johnson

Laura's design approach is a hybrid of modern technology and hand-drawn illustration. The latter was stimulated by her family's root system of fine artists, including painters, sculptors and seamstresses. She holds a degree in Visual Communication from The Art Institute of Seattle and is entering her first year on the AIGA Board of Directors.

Currently, Laura serves as the principal visual architect for Small Vineyards, a nationwide importer of earth-friendly Italian wines. Her fresh, out of the box advertising materials can be seen in restaurants, wine shops, trade shows and collector events in nearly every major U.S. market, including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

In the hotly competitive wine industry, Laura's success has come as result of truly innovative design concepts that the wine trade and consumers have never before seen. Her age (23) brings unique insight into the quickly emerging "Gen Y" demographic, said to be largest buying group in U.S. history.

Small Vineyards' look and feel now fuses competitive advertising with a distinct human element --that is Lauras signature.
