Moving great brand icons is fraught with peril. Push them too far and you break their link with the past. Nudge them too subtly and they are overtaken by younger, faster competitors. The teams that strive to evolve brand icons carry a heavy responsibility to honor the past while ensuring future relevance.

In this presentation and discussion, Scott will share some of the successes and setbacks he's experienced in moving brand icons like Caterpillar, 3M, Bayer, National Semiconductor, Harley-Davidson, DuPont, American Express and others.

This presentation is targeted toward individuals involved with: research, strategy, design, implementation, and employee engagement and anyone that believes in integrating various disciplines to create great brands.
