Concepts in Consciousness: Design & Advocacy

Monday April 14 thru Friday April 25
Western Washington University
B - Gallery & Wilson Library

The WWU AIGA Student Chapter and The B-Gallery present Concepts in Consciousness: Design & Advocacy, a poster exhibition showcasing the contemporary issues that concern students and the power of design to instigate change. Fourteen posters created by junior and senior design students represent a broad range of issues, from sexual education to endangered species. The exhibition stems from conversations among students and professors about the idea of "design for the public good" and our desire to use our skills to craft meaningful messages that sell something other than a product.

The exhibition will run in two locations: The B-Gallery in the Fine Arts Building (April 14-18) and on the 4th floor of the Wilson Library (April 21-25). Please join us in Western's B-Gallery, a student-run gallery space, for our reception on April 17th from 6 - 8 pm (refreshments will be served). Posters may also be viewed at: http://myweb.students.wwu.edu/weberc/ccposter.html
