AIGA Designers “re|THINK” Sustainability

Many designers believe that our natural environment is in peril and want to use their creative talents to persuade people to protect it. The AIGA chapters in North and South Carolina, for example, asked their members to design posters that would inspire the people of their states to make sustainable decisions in their everyday lives. No idea was too small or too large.

Jelvetica and Richard Hiner Architects are excited to be displaying these posters at the Second Saturday Ballard Art Walk. Come and see new possibilities—and a “rethinking” of current ideas—in a wide range of visual designs. The show is free and open to the general public, so bring your family and friends!

With the re|THINK poster initiative, AIGA challenged chapters around the country to find their own solutions, based on the belief that small, local changes are the first and most powerful steps toward sustaining the environment. This is just one of the many initiatives of AIGA nationwide, which is concerned not only with the professionalism and business of design, but with its power to benefit the public good.
